Today we made fortune tellers that inform us of the difference between opaque, transparent and translucent. The children have brought them home so you can quiz them about the different objects’ properties.
This week in Maths we will be looking at division problems. In topic we will be looking at light and shadows. We will be learning how to write a letter for our Cindy, Ann and Bones film in English.
This term we are starting our new English topic which will result in a film being produced that you will all be invited to watch upon its completion. The film is a Cindy, Ann and Bones adventure. It will involve the children writing, producing and acting, and will involve a variety of different genres. Also in the afternoons we will be looking at what makes the Earth appear to be angry, finding the source of volcanoes, earthquakes, tornadoes and tsunamis.
Performances are on Monday at 1:15pm and Tuesday at 6pm.
We’ve been learning about the climate in the Mediterranean and contrasting it with our own so we built and set up our own weather station to monitor the temperature, wind and rainfall.
This week is assessment week so endeavour to make sure your child is in school unless they are seriously ill or contagious otherwise it will mean endless catch up time doing assessments away from class while the rest of the class get on with their lessons. Thank you.
